🚗 IMPORTANT TIPS FOR DELIVERY DRIVERS IN KUWAIT
Drivers working with Talabat or other delivery companies should take compliance seriously. Small mistakes can lead to warnings, fines, blocked shifts, or account suspension.
✅ DRESS PROPERLY
• Wear the official company uniform whenever required.
• Keep your clothes clean and presentable.
• Wear long trousers and closed shoes.
• Avoid slippers, shorts, sleeveless shirts, torn clothes, or dirty uniforms.
• Carry your company identification card or badge.
• Do not wear another delivery company’s uniform while working.
✅ ALWAYS CARRY THE CORRECT DELIVERY BOX
• Use the approved insulated food-delivery box or thermal bag.
• Do not collect food without the required box—even when driving a car.
• Keep the box clean, dry, odour-free, and in good condition.
• Close it properly after receiving the order.
• Secure drinks upright to prevent spills.
• Never place food directly on the car seat, floor, dashboard, or inside the boot without proper protection.
• Do not mix customers’ food with personal items, chemicals, tools, or dirty objects.
✅ KEEP YOUR DOCUMENTS READY
Carry valid versions of all documents required for your work, including:
• Kuwait driving licence
• Civil ID
• Vehicle registration
• Vehicle insurance
• Company or fleet identification
• Health card or food-handling document, if required
• Any delivery permit required by the company or authorities
Check expiry dates regularly. Screenshots may not always be accepted, so confirm whether original or digital documents are required.
✅ KEEP THE CAR CLEAN AND ROADWORTHY
• Keep the interior and exterior reasonably clean.
• Make sure the air-conditioning works.
• Check tyres, brakes, lights, indicators, and fuel before starting.
• Do not smoke inside the vehicle while carrying orders.
• Keep food away from cigarettes, perfumes, and strong smells.
• Do not carry passengers while delivering if your company prohibits it.
✅ FOLLOW THE TRAFFIC RULES
• Wear your seat belt.
• Do not hold or type on your phone while driving.
• Use a proper phone holder for navigation.
• Do not speed, jump red lights, use the emergency lane, or park illegally.
• Do not block restaurant entrances, houses, or other vehicles.
• Use hazard lights only when appropriate—they do not make illegal parking legal.
✅ PROTECT YOUR DELIVERY ACCOUNT
• Never lend, rent, or share your driver account.
• Do not allow another person to deliver using your identity.
• Keep location services active when required.
• Do not manipulate GPS, delivery times, or order status.
• Mark an order as collected only after receiving it.
• Mark it as delivered only after completing the delivery.
• Contact support immediately if the restaurant, address, customer, or order has a problem.
✅ HANDLE ORDERS PROFESSIONALLY
• Confirm the order number before leaving the restaurant.
• Do not open sealed food packages.
• Keep hot and cold items separated where possible.
• Contact the customer politely—avoid repeated calls.
• Do not argue with restaurant staff, customers, security guards, or inspectors.
• Never request extra money unless it is officially shown in the app.
• Respect customers’ privacy and do not save or misuse their phone numbers.
📸 PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FALSE COMPLAINTS
• Photograph damaged packaging before leaving the restaurant and report it.
• Report spills, missing items, wrong addresses, delays, or accidents immediately.
• Keep screenshots of important support conversations.
• Use the app’s approved proof-of-delivery process.
• Never photograph customers or the inside of their homes without permission.
⚠️ BEFORE STARTING EVERY SHIFT, CHECK:
☑ Correct uniform
☑ Closed shoes and clean appearance
☑ Approved delivery box
☑ Valid documents
☑ Clean and safe vehicle
☑ Charged phone and power bank
☑ Phone holder and charging cable
☑ Enough fuel
☑ Water for yourself
☑ No account or vehicle warning
Remember: saying “I didn’t know” may not prevent a fine or suspension. Platform and fleet rules can change, so always check recent notices from your supervisor or driver app.
